Salary range: £18,429 - £23,364 (Unqualified), £24,781 - £33,323 (Qualified) per annum pro rata. Actual Salary £9,214.50 - £11,682 (Unqualified), £12,390.50 - £16,661.50 (Qualified)
The College requires a dynamic Lecturer in Computing to work with the Head of Faculty to develop a robust and relevant curriculum across a range of computing courses.
Overview of the post
The post holder will have course leader responsibility for a specific course (or courses) and will plan, prepare and deliver units of study accordingly. They will also contribute to the planning, teaching and assessment for courses at Levels 1, 2 and 3 as timetabled by the HOS and DHOS. You will deliver a curriculum which will focus on a range of technical and theory units involving; software design, programming, systems design and management, systems analysis and networking. There will be emphasis on software design and programming on the Level 3 programmes.
To be shortlisted for this role you will meet the essential criteria which includes, a degree, or equivalent, in computing with a specific emphasis on software design and programming for delivery on Level 3 programmes and have a good all round level of education, to include Maths and English GCSE Grade A- C or equivalent. You will also hold a Certificate in Education, or equivalent, or be willing to undertake training within a defined period of time.
