Retail Area Manager

West Midlands

37.5 hours per week

Permanent contract

We have an exciting opportunity for an Area Manager (covering the West Midlands, and Glasgow, Darlington and Wetherby) to take responsibility for a series of our charity retail stores (both new and existing).  

The role will involve recruiting, training and managing a team of staff and volunteers responsible for excellent standards of customer care. The post holder will work to maximize store profits through effective stock and cost control and developing pricing strategy competitive to the store location. The post holder will also be confident and experienced in planning and opening new stores in agreed locations. The successful candidate will have achieved demonstrable success in a similar role in the retail or charity sector, accustomed to working to targets and experienced in performance management. You will have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, along with good organisational and interpersonal skills. A commitment to the aims and objectives of Dogs Trust and a full clean manual driving license are essential.
