Garfield Stephens are delighted to be working with a very valued client in their quest to source an additional Risk Analyst to join their talented and well regarded team.
The role is ideally suited for someone who is hoping to kickstart / progress their career within the financial services sector. With this in mind they are not necessarily looking for someone who is already mr or mrs perfect. they would strongly consider a talented individual who has the potential and attitude to grow and develop with the organisation.
Overview:
The role will provide hands on exposure to a broad range of elements of risk management within an SME banking organisation including Prudential Risk, Compliance, and Operational Risk.
You will be an integral member of the risk and compliance team providing close support to the risk and compliance manager and prudential risk manager on tasks ranging from excel modelling, compliance monitoring and report writing / production for senior staff and external stakeholders.
This is as far from a silo'd career path as it gets.
Key tasks:
- Produce monthly operational risk reports for the Risk Committees
- Undertake key control testing and reporting
- Uploading and monitoring internal audit and compliance action points
- Help produce capital and liquidity returns for the regulator
- Help in the production of prudential risk and treasury reporting for the Risk Committees
Key requirements:
- You will need to be a great communicator - championing the risk and compliance message across the business and working closely with external stakeholders and outsourcers
- You will know your way around an excel spreadsheet and be able to demonstrate genuine analytical ability
- Ideally you will have experience / understanding of the financial services sector or a similar regulated environment
