About the team
PwC has one of the largest, global private client practices which looks after a broad range of wealthy families and individuals. Traditionally a tax focussed practice, it is now looking to provide legal support to its clients.
PwC wants to build a truly multi-disciplinary private client practice, which is distinctive and unique in the market, providing clients with the opportunity to obtain full support from one firm. These roles offer exciting opportunities for junior lawyers to work in a cutting edge and visionary professional services firm building their UK and international experience working with a fascinating range of clients, including leading family businesses, entrepreneurs and established wealthy families.
About the role Drafting wills and trust documentation
Advising on trust design and particularly international fiduciary structures such as private trust companies
Advising on estate and tax planning (UK and international). Particular expertise on taxation of trusts for both UK and international clients with good understanding of specific issues facing RND clients in respect of their trusts
Advising international clients on moving to and investing in the UK, with good knowledge on RND laws and the planning that needs to be implemented in advance
Management of tax and legal projects
Essential skills and experience
Highly experienced in advising international families and entrepreneurs, family offices and fiduciairesAn interest in the family business sector and family governance would be helpful
Must be UK qualified and have 3-4years PQE coming from a recognised firm with a strong private client practice
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse private client team which consists of a mixture of tax and legal professionals
A willingness to complete relevant STEP courses
Experience of multi-jurisdictional tax and estate planning
Experience of drafting wills and trust deeds
Experience of managing and mentoring junior members of the team
Good academics with strong technical abilities
Conscientious with good attention to detail
