We are currently seeking a Security Business Manager, Bedfordshire & Cambridge area.

You would ideally live within 20 miles of Bedford and be travelling to allocated sites around Bedford, Milton Keynes, Luton and Cambridge.

Job Purpose:

Brand ambassador responsible for the delivery of service excellence thorough ownership, process and people compliance.

It is the ability, competence and compliance of our Business Managers that will make the difference to customer satisfaction and ultimately contract retention

Service Excellence

Manage customer service delivery:

  • On a day to day basis against an allocated number of customer accounts and be a business ambassador and take ownership for delivering service excellence and building honest and lasting partnerships through procedure compliance and managing all customer requests and meeting note actions.

Manage site contract teams:

  • To deliver innovative service solutions, best practice & best value by recruiting, managing, supporting and developing your contract colleagues and providing good welfare support and developing their skill set. Disciplinary and grievances are to be managed at a low level and escalated only at the appropriate time.

Maintain daily awareness & contact:

  • Sites unmanned (yesterday, today, and tomorrow).
  • You are responsible for ensuring adequate resources are available to cover your contracts and to work closely with appropriate departments to achieve. You will do everything necessary to cover your contracts and where absolutely necessary, lead from the front and cover the contract yourself until the situation is resolved.

Live vacancies

  • On a DAILY basis you are required to communicate with the HR Department to oversee and update on any recruitment, vetting or licensing issues on your contracts.
  • Live complaints / RED Zone
  • Contracts commencing & ending
  • 3rd party use on your contracts (refer to subcontractor section)
  • New, trained, compliant recruits on your contracts and a welcome call made and training satisfaction check.

Regional growth

  • Identify and generate sales of the company core services and to actively manage the process from sale to delivery of operational service excellence
  • Expand existing relationships (up-selling / cross selling)
  • Control contract profitability and use resource efficiently whilst maintaining control of non-productive costs

Brand and Business Protection

  • Knowledge, regulation, implementation and compliance of Kingdom management systems for:
  • Quality - Health and Safety - Environmental - Employment law
  • Other appropriate manuals, policies, processes and procedures and business strategy

General Responsibilities

  • Good administration
  • Communication policy compliance
  • Regular performance progress reporting against your Job Description

Experience:

  • Front Line Security Licence in either DS / SG qualified security professional with proven management experience within the security industry.
  • A minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role with a high quality service provider and a minimum 5 years’ security industry sector experience
  • Full clean UK driving license

IT:

  • Confident operating Microsoft software including but not limited to Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Communication:

  • Communicate effectively and professionally at all levels – being polite, helpful and diligent, with a ‘can do’ attitude and strong engagement and negotiation skills

Service:

  • Have the focus and proven ability to deliver the highest standard of customer service with key stakeholders. Have the drive and motivational skills to solicit the right responses from our staff and drive their development to underpin effective efficient and innovative service solutions. Ability to meet KPI’s

Team Player:

  • Be a team player as well as working independently with a focus on sharing good practise and supporting sector wide enhancement
