We are looking for an experienced and pro-active Senior Marketing Manager to cover maternity leave within the Books Library Marketing team of a leading, global publisher based in the Oxford area.  Reporting to the Library Global Marketing Director in the Books Division, this is a key role within the books library team and will head up the UK and global Author Network marketing team.

The senior marketing manager will be responsible for evolving the required strategies for maximising discovery, advocacy and sell-through across a full portfolio of library research products (books and digital products) and will work closely with the Senior Marketing Manager in the US markets.  This pivotal role also ensures that data insights are built our across the team to ensure that KPI’s are met.

Some of the Key Accountabilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Developing and shaping integrated marketing campaigns, building out customer segmentation techniques, developed with the help of in-house CRM systems and business intelligence data insight reports
  • Managing a team of marketers
  • Leading, managing and developing team and individual reports to deliver a high standard of performance

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:

  • An understanding of how to manage a large set of marketing initiatives, including dealing with team and budget management issues
  • Experience of managing a team
  • A demonstrable awareness of key commercial issues such as profitability, growth, strategy evaluation and selection, plus business development
  • A proven track record of delivering customer-focused integrated marketing campaigns
  • The ability to develop campaigns across target customer segments
  • Budget management
