The Role

As Head of Quality, you will be responsible for Production, Manufacturing, Engineering, Testing and Systems at the company's primary UK facility in the North East with responsibilities including:

• delivery of all quality activities in line with the project programme
• leading manufacturing safety systems and processes and safe working behaviours
• coordinating processes between quality / supply chain / procurement functions
• supporting accreditation objectives for ISO9001, company and QHSE legal compliance
• leading investigations into any quality failings / leading the change control process
• coaching and training of quality team and line management staff
• ensuring customer audits are carried out / supporting visits from external stakeholders

Our client is an international corporation with activities spanning a wide variety of sectors including IT, Construction, Technology, Telecommunications, Industrial and Transport Solutions.

The Person

As Head of Quality, you will have relevant Production, Engineering or Manufacturing experience with an academic qualification to support. You will be a strong leader with the ability to motivate and influence others, inspire a team, and promoting Continuous Improvement. You will also have experience in:

• customer / supplier interface at a senior level
• Six Sigma / Lean Manufacturing tools (JIT, KanBan, Kaizen, 5S) systems
• leading a health and safety culture in a factory / test / depot environment
• designing / implementing ISO 9001 accredited Quality systems
• solving complex quality related engineering issues
