We are currently seeking an experienced design engineer for a live vehicle project. We offer you the chance to become a key player of a growing team, with excellent prospects.
This position can be based in Dumfries or Hull.
Main Tasks
??? Develop complex designs to meet customer specifications
??? Produce CAD models and engineering drawings in SolidWorks
??? Produce designs which can be economically manufactured
??? Provide detailed technical information and supporting evidence of a design's suitability for purpose
Essential Skills and Experience
??? Mechanical Engineering Degree; a Masters or postgraduate qualification is desirable, but not essential.
??? Highly proficient SolidWorks user.
??? Experience in specialist vehicle design (emergency, defence) and vehicle systems design
??? Ability to work under pressure and achieve deadlines
??? Supervisory experience
We are looking for someone to manage a small team to achieve timely delivery of specified tasks and small projects. Experience and knowledge of specialist vehicle design is essential and more important than academic qualifications. You must be able to demonstrate a very keen interest in automotive vehicles and their systems.

??? 40 hours per week
