Our client is the first, not for profit, energy company, owned by a local authority. They were set up to tackle fuel poverty and to help give people a cheaper, more helpful alternative to the Big Six.

They now have an opportunity for an experienced Information Governance Manager to provide information governance management and assurance for the company.

Your main responsibilities will be to develop policies and procedures as part of the Information Security Management System, as well as provide training for staff and service users in relation to information security. You will offer advice and undertake relevant auditing, to ensure that the company operates in accordance with various information security standards.

The successful candidate will have solid knowledge of information security and governance, including related technologies and the development of policies, as well as have the ability to provide practical and strategic data protection advice at all levels. 

Our client is looking for an excellent communicator, who has good IT literacy, and who can manage a large and varied workload successfully.
