Electronic / Electrical Design Engineer

They have a vacancy for an Electronic/Electrical Design Engineer to work in their Test Equipment Department.

The key responsibilities for this role will be to provide an electrical/mechanical design and development capability to the Test Equipment Department. To produce drawings, prototypes and developing new concepts. To be able to prepare prototypes, conduct tests and analyse results. To develop modern, state of the art designs and produce drawings for new equipment and modifications to existing products as required. You will need to be a team player, able to communicate verbally, by telephone and email with customers internally and externally.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate excellent knowledge of electrical and mechanical engineering and to provide technical support when required.

It is essential that the successful candidate has the appropriate engineering and technical qualification and has auto CAD/Inventor experience. You will also need programming languages/software development skills.

Use of test equipment preferred but not essential.
Experience of MRP systems would be an advantage.

There will be a possibility of travel in the UK and abroad.
