An unbeatable opportunity for a junior or an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join a contractor who have been founded over 25 years. The building projects they manage are varied, which constantly engages their commercial team. The key operating sectors include Healthcare, Tertiary Education, Commercial, Retail and Residential.
The role Junior / Assistant Quantity Surveyor
As a Junior / Assistant Quantity Surveyor you will assist a commercial lead and over a period of time their Commercial Team Leader is responsible for developing a bespoke training programme for you whilst integrating you into the operational teams. The clear intent of the Training programme is to advance each Trainee / Assistant to the point where you can realise your full potential.
You will be based at Head Office though will also visit site regularly in order to gain first-hand experience of the full build life cycle.
You will be assisting a Surveyor who is responsible for a portfolio of work in excess of GBP20m.
The successful person
You will have a minimum of 1 years experience working as a Quantity Surveyor for a developer or a general contractor
You need to be highly numerate, capable of accepting and taking action on multiple instructions, have the ability to prioritise coupled with a professional and strong worth ethic.
You will be educated to HNC level as a minimum in a construction qualification
Strong IT literacy being critical for this role
Package: Salary up to GBP35,000 plus car or allowance dependent on experience
• 21 days annual holiday, plus 3 days over Christmas and all statutory holidays
