Finance Analyst - Shared Service Centre (FP&A)

Working as part of the Shared Service Centre, the Finance Analyst SSC will seek to report the financial performance of the Carillion Services business throughout and play a key role in the regular business planning cycles. Reporting to the Financial Planning and Analysis Manager, the Finance Analyst will be aligned to a Sector within Carillion Services and have a dotted line into one of the Sector Finance Directors.

The role will work closely with:

• The wider Shared Service Centre to deliver a best in class reporting, planning and analysis function that forms the backbone of the Carillion Services finance job family??

• Group Finance to confirm and agree requirements and then act upon them, delivering a high quality upstream reporting service into Carillion Group Finance??

• Business Units to ensure process and procedures are followed while supporting the business with their requirements to meet both their short and long term strategic objectives, customer requirements and growth targets??

• The Outsourced partner to ensure seamless high quality transfer of data and information?? With the noted dotted line support to the Sector Finance Directors the Finance Analyst will provide high quality analysis on: Cash management, forecasting & general working capital P&L control including allocation of Services wide targets to Sector level Budget & forecasting and associated business planning Business preparation working towards breaking down HY and FY targets into manageable and identifiable steps for the FDs to share with their SMTs - ultimately driving performance

Key responsibilities

• Working with the FP&A Manager to develop and shape the financial reporting framework for Carillion Services ensuring deliverables requested by Stakeholders are achieved but without waste or inefficiency being accepted within the model

• Preparation and consolidation of business planning activities (forecasts and budgets) and all supporting schedules and analysis as required for both a Sector and Carillion Services generally

• Prepare and review cash forecasts and working capital analysis and reports for both the Sector and Carillion Services generally

• Preparing detailed trend analysis and understanding drivers of performance to offer insight and opportunity

• Ad-hoc finance duties e.g. order book preparation

• Ad-hoc finance projects on individual contracts e.g. review of contract performance

• Assisting with both the external and internal audit actions

• Liaising with senior management and Outsourced Provider
