Financial Controller

Marks Sattin have been retained to recruit the role of Financial Controller by a growing and dynamic SME who in the past 12 months have experienced over 60% growth and who are forecasting a further 50% this year!

As Financial Controller this role will take responsibility for establishing a controlled focused environment whilst being capable of providing informed financial reporting and management information for the board. This role is not for the faint hearted and will work very closely with the Finance Director supporting the company's strategic position and ensuring the day to day running of a small accounting team.

The role is positioned to produce the monthly management accounts, budgeting and forecasting, financial analysis and where required undertake financial due diligence, and investment appraisal. As this is likely to be a broad and varied role it will also pick up some of the statutory requirements and manage the relations with both internal operational stakeholders and external partners. It will manage and challenge budget holders and will be developed and brought on by the current Finance Director to expand the role further in picking up commercial and operational projects.

Ideally this role will be targeting a qualified CIMA/ACCA accountant who has had industrial exposure in a similar SME environment would be a distinct advantage. Reporting into the finance director, this role will provide a great platform to introduce rigger and control in an ever changing and growing business.
