About the team

Harlow College students receive an outstanding level of Learning Support from the Additional Learning Support team. The team works alongside direct delivery staff to assess and support the learning needs of students in a variety of settings and off-site locations. Our staff have the specialist skills and knowledge to deliver high-quality, personalised support that effectively meet the needs of learners.

About the role

Under the direction of delivery staff, the Support Worker will provide practical learning guidance and personal care support for individual learners or small groups of learners who have a variety of learning difficulties to enable then to take full advantage of the curriculum.

What we are looking for

You will need to have experience of working with young people with learning difficulties or disabilities and an awareness of diverse learner needs. Ideally you will be educated to a minimum of Level 2 Maths & English with good IT skills and have experience of working within an educational environment.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual who is organised and able to work autonomously and calmly under pressure, is able to communicate well with people of all ages and from all backgrounds, can demonstrate a positive and inclusive manner and is solution focused. Excellent team-working and record-keeping essential are essential.
