Their Business Intelligence team are based at their head office in Newcastle upon Tyne and are critical to ensuring they have data to support their growing business.
About the role
They have an exciting new opportunity to join them as a Junior Business Intelligence Developer, reporting into their Head of Business Intelligence.
As the Junior Business Intelligence Developer, you will provide high quality business intelligence solutions to underpin the BI infrastructure, which is used by their internal customers and their external customers.
The role will involve developing end user solutions within the Microsoft BI stack, mostly focussing on SharePoint BI development. In addition, there will be development of back office functionality, including optimisation of T-SQL queries, development and maintenance of SSIS packages and general database administration.
The role will be responsible for establishing SQL Master Data Services 2016, and be accountable for the ongoing lifecycle of this product.
The role will provide guidance and mentorship around the concepts of data warehousing, Analysis Services and the use of the SQL Server Enterprise Toolset (e.g. SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, PowerBI Report Server) to the wider Business Intelligence team.
Who they are looking for
A highly effective communicator who has experience of developing within the Microsoft Business Intelligence stack, with a focus on SharePoint BI and the SQL Server 2016 Enterprise product set, including; Transact SQL, SQL Server Reporting Service, SQL Server Analysis Services (Tabular), Power BI Report Server and Master Data Services.
The successful applicant will have exposure of working with NHS Information Governance (IG) standards or similar i.e. ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials.
You will be confident and client focused with experience of interacting with Senior Managers to identify business data requirements, offering advice on data techniques.
A proven track record of delivering projects on time and achieve results.
You’ll have to have an analytical eye for detail, be organised, consistent, a motivator and lead by example. You’ll be solution focussed, positive, constructive and approachable and carry out tasks with fairness and integrity.
