Kirklees College is a large successful FE college, currently Ofsted graded as Good. Operating across Kirklees with centres based in Huddersfield and Dewsbury.


The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work within a modern building, with excellent on site facilities, such as a fully equipped gym, hair & beauty salons and fine dining restaurant.

Hours: 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year.

To plan and deliver classroom and workshop based teaching, learning and assessment to Apprentices and Full Time students on Study Programmes and Apprenticeship Frameworks / Standards. The post holder will make a significant contribution to the effective delivery of the curriculum, in line with the College's Quality Improvement Strategy and ensure a high quality and relevant learning experience for all students on the course/s. Contribute to curriculum development, design and delivery in response to changing requirements and new demands of the college and the awarding bodies. Track student performance within assessment and individual progress within learning to ensure efficient, effective timely achievements. Provide effective co-ordination and communication between internal staff and external agencies, ensuring that appropriate College policies and procedures are followed.

The qualifications deemed essential for the post are a minimum of PTLLS teaching qualification (Level 5 teaching or willingness to undertake within the job role as essential to the post) a minimum of a Level 2 qualification in literacy and numeracy (e.g. GCSE English and Maths at grade A*-C ) and NVQ L3 Plumbing and Heating & Gas Safe registered (A1 and V1 desirable or willingness to undertake within the job role)
