Business Admin / Marketing Apprentice, Pay rate £3.50ph, Based: Peterborough

We have an exciting opportunity for a Apprentice Mechanical Engineer to join a leading company who specialise in the hire portable buildings and storage units. Working towards achieving and advanced apprenticeship in Business Admin Level 3 with Marketing Elements, you will receive extensive on the job experience in the Product Development team. You will be working towards becoming one of the company's Product Development Assistant’s.

This is a varied role and you will have the opportunity the learn and develop in a variety of areas including administration, marketing, product development and project management.

Main tasks include supporting with the following:

  • Seeking new product opportunities, evaluating and defining products – will be involved in helping to implement further products
  • Product Launches – will assist in planning product launches, creation of any relevant literature, scheduling, obtaining required supplier information, etc.
  • Contracts, Processes and T&C’s – will assist in the creation and management of any legal documentation required.
  • Procurement and supplier liaison – will work closely with procurement and suppliers to ensure best products and prices.
  • Cost control & cost management – will work closely with the Pricing Manager to ensure the prices are correct, accurate and in line with market expectations.
  • Sales team training – will assist in the on-going training of sales teams and sales individuals as and when required.
  • Commercial analysis and reporting – will assist in analysing weekly and monthly reports provided by the pricing manager to help drive sales focus, helping increase revenue

Business Admin / Marketing Apprentice Candidate requirements;

  • Be on target to receive or have already gained a number of GCSE's at grade C or above (English and Maths).
  • Ideally have an interest in Business Administration / Marketing
  • Have good IT and Microsoft Office skills
  • High level of drive, energy and initiative; proactive, focused, and committed
  • Excellent Communication Skills
