School Mailings has an exciting opportunity for a Digital Content Designer to join our team based in Chorley, Lancashire. The role will be part time on 25 hours per week and be offered a competitive pro rata salary of £18,000 - £21,000 per annum plus a range of excellent benefits.

We are a marketing agency based in Chorley, Lancashire, supplying a range of services to clients working within the education sector. Our clients are based in the UK and overseas, and range from small start-up companies to large Multi National organisations. We are an ambitious, well established company working in a niche industry with a requirement for a new Digital Content Designer to support our growth. 

You will be working with the Marketing Manager primarily on digital content creation for the School Mailings brand, helping us to enhance our position as the leading education marketing agency in the UK.

Responsibilities of our Digital Content Designer

- Working closely with the Marketing Manager to plan and execute our digital marketing strategy

- Producing and executing engaging, creative content to be used across multiple channels

- Work with our Social Media manager to deliver engaging creative for social media platforms

- Day to day management of CMS content

- Working on website enhancements, running website tests and monitoring results

- Development of in house email campaigns

- Aware of digital best practice, idea generation and design solutions

- Photography and photo editing, video and video editing

- Supporting the marketing team with additional creative including infographics, blog images and landing pages

- Assist with the development of a strong & consistent brand identity

Skills, knowledge and experience required to become our Digital Content Designer

- A highly motivated person who promotes a positive working attitude at all times

- Graphic design qualification and/or a strong design portfolio to support application

- A demonstrable history of creative flair working to brand guidelines and an ability to demonstrate a consistency in adherence to a brand identity

- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite

- A drive to keep abreast of all new functionalities and techniques made available through new software upgrades and advancing technology capabilities

- Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks to achieve deadlines

- Ability to work on multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment

- Confidence to work independently to deliver assets on your own

- Great team working skills

- Competent using Microsoft Office suite

- Experience in photography, video and editing techniques

- Good understanding of UX and the customer journey highly desirable.

- English as a first language and excellent written skills
