This company is one of the UK's leading gift import and distribution companies. Their retail customers range from independent gift shops to national chains such as Card Factory, Argos, Asda, John Lewis, H. Samuels amongst others.
As a result of the departure of an existing member of staff they have a vacancy within their larger National Account Team of 6 people. The role of the NAE in supporting these accounts and the NAM is in managing all of the sales administration, ordering, stock analysis, product development, customer services and logistical support.
The successful candidate will be a talented, tenacious and ambitious Sales Administrator with a strong attention to detail and interest in both Sales and Product Development.
The Role
The role will encompass approximately 20 active, inactive and prospect national accounts and is entirely customer focused, backing up the National Account Manager who is selling gift concepts with ownership of ordering, critical path management for new products, planning and facilitating shipments and in monitoring and managing stock.
It will be almost entirely office based work but with some travel to support the meeting requirements of these customers. As such the candidate will ideally be located within 20 miles of the Head Office.
The NAE will support the NAM in the market and customer specific research and development of compelling, creative presentations to win new business and summarise existing results and project activities
The NAE will be largely responsible for managing the new product development requirements of the 20 national accounts in the portfolio. They will write a brief for the factory/ design team, develop a critical path for shipment and will liaise with factories and designers in the UK, USA and Far East to manage the sampling, packaging definition and production process from ordering through to on time shipment and delivery.
The NAE will work directly with the merchandiser and team at the 20 accounts to make recommendations on stock and to coordinate the receipt and interrogation of sales estimates and orders the ensure that all customer stock requirements are received and processed quickly, accurately and with on time delivery.
Working with the Distribution Centre team to ensure that all orders are processed for delivery exactly to customer specifications and then managed through to on time, accurate delivery with the customer
Working with the Accounts team to ensure that every account is accurately invoiced and paid to terms
Working with the NAM to budget, forecast and track the sales for each account and to develop the strategy for maximising sales and profits and developing an appropriate solution to meet those projections.
Potential for UK travel for customer meetings along with mandatory attendance at our Tradeshows
