Location: Salford, Greater Manchester
Salary: GBP25,287 per annum, plus staff benefits
Contract: 48 hours per week (averaged over 17 week reference period)

The Lowry is an internationally acclaimed visual and performing arts centre situated at the heart of MediaCityUK, one of the world's most exciting culture and media destinations.

We are looking for two Theatre Technicians to work as part of the Technical Services Department to facilitate the technical requirements of The Lowry's theatre & ancillary spaces & support our evolving program of produced work.

This role involves carrying out all duties associated with the getting in, fitting up, running and getting out of productions & events taking place in the theatre spaces & assisting in events in other spaces and locations.

Ideal candidates will have knowledge and experience in a similar position in a receiving or producing theatre environment, have excellent attention to detail, with an ability to adapt to new situations in our busy multipurpose venue.

Strong skills in theatre lighting & ETC desk programing, sound installation & operation including the use of digital consoles, audio visual, theatrical staging or counter weight and point hoist flying are essential. Candidates should demonstrate a working knowledge of the other areas of technical theatre. A background which includes creative and production work will be an advantage. A working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation is also essential and preferred candidates will also possess IT, fixed installation, maintenance and servicing skills.
