Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Manager
Location: Crawley, RH6 0PA
Salary: GBP50,000 - GBP60,000 per annum plus Annual bonus of up to 15%

3D Technical provides detailed design and consultancy services, and specialise in supporting the construction and development of City-Centre Heat Networks
In-particular they undertake advanced route proving, stakeholder management and then model third-party utility information to produce 3D civil and mechanical designs, which aid construction de-risking.
3D Technical is also seeking to develop their offering to include contractual administration (under the ICC "Engineer" and NEC3 "Project Manager") in delivery.
The position of Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Manager will report to the company Commercial Director, and the ideal candidate will be progressive and possess practical experience (5+ years) in Quantity Surveying and Civil Commercial Management.
The role is based in Crawley, with travel to sites across the UK approximately 2 days a week.
Duties of the Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Manager:
- Contract Compliance and Administration (Typically under ICC/NEC3) - Engineer/EWN Notices.
- Contract Administration.
- QS/Valuations.
- Variations.
- Measurements.
- Compliance.
- Preparation and submission of valuations and claims
- Negotiation of contracts and frameworks.
- Internal Contract Management and Valuations.
- Preparation/Review of legal documents.
- Stakeholder Management.
- Support Business Development Activities.
- Project Governance and Reporting.
- Report Drafting.
- Additional Activities to support the strategic growth of the Organisation.
Requirements of the Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Manager:
The idea candidate must have experience with the following:
- Minimum 3-5 years' experience in Contract Valuation and Measurement/Quantity Surveying
- Degree within a related discipline eg. Quantity Surveying or Construction Management
- Provision of expert support to Clients
- ICC/NEC3 Contract Administration
- Provision of QS Services
- Support the Commercial Director in de-risking the business
- Mitigation of contractual risk
- Insurance Compliance
Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Benefits:
- Holiday Allowance - 23 days/yr (plus all UK Statutory/Bank Holidays) - rising to 25 after 2yrs (pro-rata)
- Pension Contributions - 3D Technical will pay 1% to preferred pension scheme
- Approved Business Expenses and Business mileage - Paid Monthly
- Sick Pay - Up to 4 weeks a year full pay, then statutory
- Probationary Period 3 months
- Notice Period, following probationary period - 1 month for employee and employer
