TSB are looking for an innovative and driven Risk Strategy Manager to join the banks Risk operation, in a role that is centred around second line oversight. The role would suit someone who has experience of risk modelling, and is able to draw conclusions and make recommendations. It would be heavily focused on stakeholder and interdepartmental liaisons, and would be looking at risk appetite and stress testing. Provides independent second line opinion and insightful analysis on first line risk decisions, judgements and proposals for discussion at Executive and Board level. Manages the process of Risk oversight of the medium term plan and stress tests. Works with specialist teams to determine Risk's consolidated view and help deliver that view to the Chief Risk Officer. Our core objective of this oversight is to ensure capital adequacy (keeping the bank safe while supporting growth) and profit resilience (ensuring our profits are sustainable and volatility is acceptable). Owns the maintenance of our Risk Appetite database and framework. Leads Risk Appetite workshops with subject matter experts. Prepares papers for the BEC and Board to support the delivery of TSB Risk Appetite. Educates, consults and influences a wide network of stakeholders to support the embedding of Risk Appetite across our organisation. Enhances our team culture of accountability, empowerment and safety. Proactively contributes to the evolution of the bank's Prudential Risk Oversight function and establishment of that model throughout TSB.
