This position has more of an Asset Management focus to it but the individual will also have a chance to look at new investments in companies, servicers, real estate assets and NPL portfolios. The successful individual will need to have Real Estate sector experience and strong financial modelling skills as well as experience of looking at more distressed businesses from a valuation perspective. This role would give the successful candidate a bit more of a Pan-European focus including looking at deals across Scandinavia, Germany and the Benelux region. In terms of compensation they have a very competitive package including a strong bonus structure. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - Completing detailed financial modelling, considering cash flows, returns on investments, investment case analysis and scenario planning - Undertaking portfolio analyses and asset reviews and preparing performance reports - Proactively compile investment and investor reporting - Establish and operate standardised reporting processes to internal and external stakeholders - Devise and implement asset management strategies including leasing, financing, capital improvement and disposition strategies - Oversee operating partners and property managers in their day-to-day management of the assets, and become involved in key decisions as appropriate, e.g. in negotiations with tenants for substantial new leases or rent reviews - Extract and review performance data on the assets, analyse the data using complex data modelling, draw conclusions and manage the implications as appropriate - Manage external service providers, including accountants and lawyers, as appropriate - Manage the debt financing on assigned investments and assist in facilitating debt extensions, renegotiations, recapitalisations, etc. as necessary - Work pro-actively with the portfolio acquisition team on the closing and due diligence process so as to facilitate a seamless hand-over to asset management upon closing - Assist the development and implementation of effective and consistent asset management systems EXPERIENCE - Minimum 5 years of experience - Extensive experience - with transferable skills -gained in a first rate professional services or investment environment, e.g. real estate management / private equity firm - Previous transactional and asset management experience in a leading financial institution, private equity or real estate group - Strong background in financing and modelling of real estate finance and investment cases - Experience in a number of European countries is an advantage SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS - Strong academics, educated at least to degree level, ideally in a business- or mathematics-related discipline, preferably with further relevant qualifications - Fluent in spoken and written English language. Second European language an advantage but is NOT essential - A solid grasp of the European real estate market with a particular focus on western European markets - Detailed appreciation of the physical side of property. This includes all aspects of ongoing asset management, valuations and exits - Excellent transaction management skills - Outstanding Excel modelling and financial skills with proven capability - Impeccable ethical standards with the ability to forge trusted relationships at all levels - Top class relationship management, interpersonal and communication skills; effective team player - Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines, solutions-orientated and focused upon delivering results.
