Brief Description
You'll provide a diverse team with vital technical and administrative support. It's a varied role spanning everything from data collection and analysis through to vehicle management.
This job is intended to be Shrewsbury based, however if we cannot find a suitable candidate there then it can be Cardiff based but will require travel to work in Shrewsbury at least two days a week.
About the role (External)
You'll be responsible for providing a range of important technical and administrative support to a Lead Network Operations Manager and their diverse team. Working closely with senior members of staff, you will take a proactive approach to providing a high quality service.
We'll expect you to locate and collate all kinds of data, records and other important information. Carrying out useful analysis, you will present data in support of recommended actions. You'll also maintain and review publications and logs. Your wide range of administrative duties will include everything from minute taking through to managing technical plans. You'll even play a role in vehicle management.
Essential Criteria
• Good analytical and administrative skills
• IT literate
• Knowledge of the relevant technical function and its activities
• Good communication and organisation skills
Desirable Criteria
• Knowledge of operational railway environment
Please note: this role will involve working three days a week in Cardiff (classed as your main base) and two days a week in Shrewsbury.
