We are now expanding our operations in the UK with a brand new Supply Chain Centre in Warrington. This site shall have modern production equipment, a large warehouse facility and an impressive Transport and logistics function. We will be looking for staff in all areas of the Supply Chain Centre from administration, drivers, warehouse and production operatives to multi-skilled engineers.

Working in our Supply Chain Centres puts you at the heart of the Domino's Pizza operation. We manufacture all of the fresh dough for the UK and Ireland stores and supplying them with the ingredients and associated equipment and supplies to enable our franchisees to concentrate on making great pizza, at the highest standard, for our customers. Supply Chain is where people from customer service, production, warehouse, maintenance, delivery and service come together to give our stores everything they need to operate flawlessly.

This is a key site for Domino's and getting the right people on the ground for the start is essential. Consequently we are currently hiring for a well-established and experienced Engineering Manager, ideally with Start-up site experience.

Our Engineering Manager will ensure the site and all associated equipment is maintained and production targets are achieved by effective leadership of the engineering team in line with Domino's Pizza policies and standard operating procedures. Ensure that departmental goal and targets are achieved and assist in development of the long term strategy of Domino's.

Key accountabilities & Responsibilities:

- Leadership and management of the Engineering Team to ensure business support is maintained on a 24/7 basis by preparing and implementing optimal work and equipment schedules
- Support the Group Engineering Manager as required and provide business cover in his absence
- Manage site costs and performance in line budgets, mitigating variances and continuously seek areas of positive opportunity
- Assist in developing and monitoring a Maintenance Management Programme
- Administration of department's purchase orders, ensuring critical spares and consumable stock levels are maintained at adequate but economic levels within the stores management system by sourcing and purchasing of all items to support standardisation and availability
- By understanding the wider business objectives, seek continuous service improvements and cost controls through assistance in the preparation of the annual operating and capital budget
- Ownership of the Standard Operating Procedures for the department ensuring adherence by all staff whilst assisting in developing and managing a Contractor Control System aligning Dominos standards at all times
- Build and maintain good working relationships with all internal and external parties, including suppliers and 3rd party contractors
- Support the Energy Policy providing updates of policy changes and continued monitoring of site utility consumptions
- Project Management delivery, as appropriate, on time and within budget, adding value to operational effectiveness
- Direct responsibility for the line management and personal development of the engineers utilising the framework of tools available, which will support the site succession plan
- Line Manager responsibility for all elements of people management in accordance with Company policy and procedures and employment legislation
- Ensure compliance of self and team at all times to BRC Standards, Food Hygiene Standards and Health and Safety policies and procedures

Knowledge:

- An understanding of Health and Safety Legislation
- An understanding of ISO systems management
- An understanding of Food Safety Standards
- Knowledge of engineering budgets - capital and revenue
- Understanding of energy and the environment and the impact within engineering
- Good working knowledge of the basics of mechanical and electrical systems
- Demonstrate good IT skills, with knowledge Quality Management Systems and Frontline Maintenance Management Systems

Experience:

- Experience of Hygiene procedures, standards and equipment in the chilled food industry
- Experience of project management
- Experience working with third party suppliers
- Experience of continuous improvement methodologies
- Experience with creating and managing permit to work systems

Qualifications:

- Must be educated to A level standard or equivalent management experience
- Manual handling training certificate
- Basic food hygiene certificate
- Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) certificate
- Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) certificate
- IOSH Managing Safely
