Edward Carter Solutions are looking for an Infrastructure Engineer/Desktop Engineer to join an exciting project in Watford for 6 months.
Working on a Windows 10 Migration project as well as taking responsibility for a Windows Group Policy Redesign initiative.
Successful applicants will have the following responsibilities:
Desktop Engineer who has previously undertaken a Windows Group Policy redesign, application packaging work and who has a good working knowledge of IT Security principles.
Suitable candidates will have the following skills and experience:
Advanced Active Directory and Group Policy Administration skills;
Experience of creating and importing custom ADMX templates for applying policies to non-Microsoft products, eg, Chrome, Firefox, etc.
Experience of consolidating GPOs and rationalising assignments and AD structures;
Experience of application packaging and sequencing with SCCM and App-V;
Able to troubleshoot application delivery with SCCM and App-V;
* Group Policy Redesign:
o Take responsibility for consolidating GPOs and rationalising assignments and AD structures;
o Work with the Security and Infrastructure Teams to ensure that the GPO structure and settings meet their requirements;
o Work with System Owners to understand and mitigate the implications of the GPO settings for the systems they support;
o Test and validate the GPO settings which are applied
* Application Packaging:
o Package and sequence applications with SCCM and App-V;
o Troubleshoot application delivery with SCCM and App-V;
