Lead IT Business Systems Analyst - EBI

The EBI Programme is a large strategic transformation programme delivering a best practice business information analytical toolset. There is currently an exciting opportunity for an experienced and knowledgeable Lead Business Systems Analyst to join the team. The programme requires the successful applicant to be technically astute, an excellent communicator, strong leader and an expert in the development of data operations, analytics and governance processes. Construction, agreement and maintenance of a requirements framework for the programme Planning, initiating and managing the delivery of requirements for the programme throughout its lifecycle Leading a team of Business Analysts to complete large scale requirements gathering and be accountable for their delivery, ensuring communication channels are established and used amongst the business analysis community within the programme Responsible for the quality of the output of all business analysis on the programme Reporting progress through agreed reporting mechanisms Undertaking effective stakeholder management at Director and Steering Group level Ensuring all deliverables are fit for purpose by employing effective quality management approaches Making sure all regulatory and compliance requirements are adhered to Securing, maintaining and monitoring activity of appropriate resources for projects Liaising with related programme, business and project managers to ensure seamless delivery. Planning, organising and facilitating workshops as required Co-ordinating appropriate reviews and sign off The Lead Business Analyst must possess the following skills/experience: Extensive experience in data process definition and analysis (using best practice methods such as BPMN) Expert in data analytics, business performance reporting, data operations and data governance Ability to decompose high level business architecture down to requirements frameworks Ability to lead, influence and negotiate effectively Ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders across the business, from Director to operator level Ability to create and sustain effective stakeholder relationships across all levels of seniority Resilient and proactive with a strong delivery focus Experience: Proven track record as a Business Analyst in a leading / guiding capacity, ideally within a matrix arrangement Proven ability to drive out requirements at programme level, and forming requirements frameworks Experience in delivering multiple cross-technology data projects covering Oracle (Exadata), IBM (Infosphere, QualityStage, DataStage), Cognos and SAS Analytics. Experience of working within a large and complex data-oriented business environment (e.g. multiple locations including offshore; multiple lines of business) Thorough knowledge of business and IT project management & lifecycles Good understanding of change methodologies and practical application of Waterfall; Iterative; Agile techniques Experience in General Insurance or Financial Services would be advantageous
