Do you have a recent 2:1 or above English degree from a Russell Group University and are looking to gain a full year classroom experience before becoming a primary school teacher?
Do you have a passion for working with Primary school aged children, and want to make a difference to their classroom learning?
Would you be interested in gaining paid experience in a school based setting as a Primary Teaching, running literacy interventions with pupils across KS2?
This lovely Primary school in Bradford has a nurturing KS2 team looking to take on a patient and caring English graduate to support them with literacy interventions this academic year as a Primary Teaching Assistant.

To be considered you will need to be an inspiring English graduate with a minimum 2:1 degree, passionate about education who has previous volunteer experience working with children, not necessarily in a school. We want to see graduates with the drive to assess and meet the social and academic needs of a diverse group of children. The ideal Primary Teaching Assistant should be able to be positive role model for the pupils they teach, as well as offering high levels of literacy.
The role will involve running booster groups and individual sessions with a variety of children who are struggling in literacy. This Primary Teaching Assistant position involves supporting the individual needs of the pupils in class with tailor-made lesson plans and activities in areas such as spelling, punctuation and grammar.
The school is in the heart of Bradford and is close to all public transport links. The Senior Leadership Team promote a culture of individuality, which sees both teachers and pupils' progress quickly.
