Position: Installation Electrician
Location: Eastbourne, East Sussex
Hours: 40 hours per week (Immediate start)
Salary: GBP14 - GBP15 Per hour depending on experience

G M Monk Ltd is an electrical contractors company, based in Eastbourne, East Sussex. We have been established for over 37 years and offer a range of electrical services to businesses, local authorities, schools, colleges, academies, housing associations and individuals across Sussex and Kent. We currently employ over 32 staff to support our operations and offer a friendly and supportive environment in which our staff thrive and feel valued.
Purpose of the role
The purpose of the role is for electrical installation work specifically within our larger works division, throughout Sussex but predominantly based in East Sussex. Depending on the type of project the role holder will work with other electricians or on their own for the installation of electrical works.
Main duties:
Work on larger electrical projects across Sussex to regulation standards.
Carry out duties as a lead electrician on site when required.
Communication with client/ consultant/site foreman as required.
Complete and update works via electronic tablet.
About you
You will be professional and knowledgeable in your approach to dealing with clients and colleagues and exhibit a positive attitude towards work. You will be a competent in electrical installation to the 17th Edition and have the ability to work within a team environment and organise other's to complete a specific task.
Experience with larger/ site electrical work - Essential
Qualified to 17th Edition - Essential
Experience of working as part of a team, supporting colleagues to reach set targets and deadlines. - Essential
Ability to work on their own to meet set targets and deadlines. - Essential
Full Clean UK driving License - Essential
2391 Test and Inspect Qualification - Desirable
IPAF / PASMA / SSSTS qualification - Desirable
