JOB TITLE: HGV Class 2 HIAB Driver
LOCATION: Sheffield- S2 & S9 area
JOB TYPE: Ongoing contract, expected to last until at least October 2017
HOURS: Guaranteed 45 hours per week. Monday- Friday
PAY: GBP9.50 per hour PAYE/ GBP10.50 per hour self employed
Every other Saturday morning you will be asked to be on call for the morning only. If you haven't been called by 9am, then you have the day off. Sundays and bank holidays will always be your days off
HGMS Ltd have the sole contract to supply drivers to the largest brand within the UK building and distribution sector, on a National basis. We coordinate all of the other agencies, and are responsible for scheduling the entire temporary and contract work force across the whole of the UK.
We need hard working LGV 2 HIAB drivers to work within a cluster of branches delivering timber & building materials.
You will need to have an excellent attitude to work, be a team player and display excellent customer service skills with the ability to be flexible as and when required
In addition to the above location, our client has multiple branches/ brands within a 30 mile radius, in which you would on occasion be required to work at. With this in mind, it is preferred that applicants have their own transport as many sites are based out of town and not easily accessible by public transport.
The best Drivers will be retained for ad-hoc work after the contract period has ended
Please note that all Drivers are expected to attend a face to face interview with our Recruitment Specialist, and for this you may be asked to travel to a different branch other than the branch you have applied for work in.
Essential Requirements:
• Lorry Loader licence/ HIAB Ticket (grab) Conversion training is available from hook to grab
• Expired Lorry Loader (within the last 12 months) refresher training is available.
• Full CPC, Digital Tachograph
• No more than 6 points on your licence and no DR10's
• For insurances purposes, all HGV 2 Drivers must be over 21, have a minimum of 6 months HGV 2 Driving experience
• Right to work in the UK
Desirable Requirements:
• Own transport

Your role will involve:
• 8-10 drops per day
• Working at various branches in a 30-mile radius
• Vehicle checks to ensure road worthiness and compliance with VOSA
• Compliance with Health and Safety, and other related legislation, ensuring the safety of yourself and others at all times.
• Providing a 1st class customer service on all deliveries
