Job Role

Our client based in Devizes, Wiltshire, provides a large range of services in the waste management and automotive sectors. Established in 1972, they are a family run business dedicated to caring for the environment. They are currently looking to recruit for a Financial Accountant who will be responsible for managing and carrying out all day to day finance operations within the business.

Duties

• Accurate production of Monthly consolidated management accounts
• Completion of Balance Sheet reconciliations at month end
• Continually maintain Inter Company Accounts
• Daily bank reconciliations for the companies of the Group
• Ensure all Purchase/Sales Ledgers are kept current
• Oversee timely credit control
• Take responsibility for the Accounting IT system, Training and Reporting
• Support the Finance Director as required
• Supervisory responsibility for the Accounts Assistant, Purchase Ledger Clerk and Sales Ledger Administrator ensuring current with work responsibilities
• Other ad-hoc duties as required

Skills

• Demonstrable experience working within an accounts office
• Methodical approach with attention to detail
• Prior experience and working knowledge of an accounts system (Access, SAP, SAGE etc)
• Excellent level of numeracy and literacy
• Excellent working knowledge of MS Excel and Word
• Good interpersonal skills, both verbal and written
• Flexible approach to working
• Ability to build and maintain good relations

Qualifications:

• ACCA, CIMA or AAT
