Marketing Assistant

We currently have an exciting opportunity, within our Bensons for Beds brand, for a dedicated Marketing Assistant to join the team based at our head office in Huncoat, Accrington. The successful candidate will work 5 days out of 7 (37.5 hours per week), and receive a salary of £20,000 per annum.  

Steinhoff UK Retail, owners of Harvey’s Furniture and Bensons for Beds employs over 3000 passionate and dedicated staff and trade from over 400 retail stores across the UK. As our Marketing Assistant you will assist the Marketing Manager and Assistant Marketing Manager in successfully delivering on-brand, customer-focused POS to our Bensons for Beds and BedShed stores. 

The successful candidate will be the first port of call for our stores in relation to POS, you will manage our internal communications programme, new store opening events as well as completing any other tasks asked of you that may be required to help the Marketing team achieve their goals.

Your key responsibilities and duties as our  Marketing Assistant will consist of:

- Being the first port of call for all POS enquiries and orders

- Helping to manage the POS agency on a day to day basis to ensure all POS is delivered to stores OTIF

- Working with the POS agency to stock check POS on a regular basis

- Managing the Good Store Guide

- Dealing with all BedShed POS from briefing through to implementation, ensuring all design briefs and creative work produced is on brand and appeals to the target audience

- Managing the local Marketing programme from briefing to implementation

- Managing our Bensons for Beds ‘Weekly Informer’ and Quarterly newsletter in conjunction with the Harveys Marketing team

- Managing all relevant purchase orders

- Co-ordinating our new store openings, liaising with all key stakeholders to ensure co-ordinated activity.

The perfect Marketing Assistant will have the following skills and experience:

- Experience in delivering POS and internal communications programmes, ideally within a similar size and type of organisation.

- At least one year experience in a similar role.

- IT skills being proficient in Microsoft Office.

-  Degree level education or equivalent marketing qualification is desirable.

Our Marketing Assistant will be a team player with excellent communication and presentation skills. You will be self-confident, and committed, showing enthusiasm even when working under pressure. An excellent communicator, you will be confident in communicating verbally with peers and management.

You will work 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday) and in turn be rewarded with a salary of £20,000 per annum.
