Job Role:

• To assist in the development and maintenance of applications in order to deliver solutions in response to organisational needs.
• You will work as part of the development team to assist in the design, development, documentation, monitoring and maintenance of new and existing applications, systems and reports to meet specific organisational requirements.
• You will ensure that all ICT support, services or resources are dealt with in line with our customer charter, standards and procedures and that all development work is managed within our project framework.

Experience:

• You should have demonstrable experience in application development including ASP.net, C#, SQL server, JavaScript, HTML and XML and be educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant computing discipline.

Purpose of the role:

• To ensure that ICT Service delivery meets agreed KPI's and positive customer experience is achieved. To assist in the development and maintenance of applications in order to deliver solutions in response to organisational needs.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Uphold and successfully deliver the ICT Service Level Agreement within the Authority
• Ensure that all requests for ICT support, services or resources are dealt with according to set, agreed and documented standards/procedures, ensuring compliance with ITIL processes
• Assist in the design and development of applications or systems to meet specific organisational requirements.
• Monitor, develop and maintain existing systems and databases, including Performance Management, WYFiremap and other service support applications.
• Play a key part in assisting the ICT team with the support and rollout of data systems to meet the requirements of the organisation.
• Assist with testing functionality relating to system changes and play a key role in the implementation of additional functionality.
• Assist in the development, maintenance and documentation of web based systems, databases and interfaces including incident reporting, Fire Control, Mobile Data Terminals and address gazetteer.
• Build and develop reports using a variety of reporting tools, techniques and systems.
• Provide ad-hoc reports and data extracts from available systems to assist in other ICT Team activities and requests.
• Assist in providing user support to deal with day to day enquiries. This will involve logging, prioritising, assigning and resolving issues as necessary.
• Develop and provide ad hoc and complex Business Warehouse reports as required using BI/BW reporting tools from both SAP and Fire Control for general reporting and integration into performance management systems.
• Assist the IT Training team in the induction and progressive training of employees in new functionality.
• Make formal presentations to a wide variety of audiences including Senior Officers to make them aware of existing and new system functionality.
• Raise support calls where necessary and liaise with 3rd party suppliers to resolve issues and implement new functionality.
