Ground Worker

We currently have a vacancy for a Ground Worker at our site in Portsmouth Naval Base.

As a Ground Worker, you will be working as part of a small team where you will be expected to manage your own work tasks including sourcing materials, liaising with customers, completing tasks within the required time frame and maintaining the highest standards of Health and Safety throughout.

This role will provide you with the opportunity of working in a department that helps to keep Portsmouth Naval Base operational and fit for purpose as the home of the Royal Navy.

Your main responsibilities as a Ground Worker will involve:

Repairing pit covers

Tarmacking

Concreting

Conducting small excavations

Laying slabs and kerbs

Installing street furniture

Interfacing with the customer

Your skills and qualifications as a Ground Worker:

Mini digger experience is essential

Experience in a previous ground worker role or similar role

Full UK Driving Licence is essential

Valid street works qualification would be desirable

Salary: GBP23,890
