Trainee electrical & instrumentation CAD designer

We have an exciting opportunity for a trainee electrical & instrumentation CAD designer to join our Hinckley office. Reporting to the electrical and instrumentation engineering team manager, this role sits within the electrical and instrumentation project team and will involve providing CAD support to the team. Key duties will include undertaking and managing the day to day operations in respect of: - producing engineering drawings - embracing the Mott MacDonald working culture - undertaking the delivery of drawing packages within tight deadlines and as part of a multidisciplinary project team - working closely with engineers and other CAD designers to provide a design solution - thorough and conscientious checking of own work - operating in accordance with the corporate health and safety, environment and quality standards - undertaking own continuing professional development We welcome applications from candidates with: - a HNC, ONC, HND or BTEC in electrical engineering - an interest in design - excellent written and verbal English - competency with MS Office suite programs - the ability to work on own initiative and manage their own time - the willingness to learn and develop - previous experience of using CAD software would be a distinct advantage About us: Mott MacDonald is a GBP1.2 billion management, engineering and development consultancy with over 16,000 staff and a global reach spanning six continents.
