Trinity College is located in the centre of Cambridge with a site extending west from Sydney Street across The Backs to Grange Road.  It is the largest of the Colleges of Cambridge University with some 650 undergraduates, 350 post-graduates and 190 Fellows (the senior members of the College), plus some 350 staff.  There are two Porter's Lodges: at Great Gate, Trinity Street and Burrell's Field, Grange Road which are in operation twenty four hours a day throughout the year.

The College is seeking to appoint a Deputy Head Porter to support and assist the Head Porter  to lead, manage and co-ordinate the operations of the Porter's Lodge.   This varied role will involve assisting with all security matters relating to the College buildings, the College community and visitors.  In addition,  responsibilities will include assisting with the management, support and training of the Porter's Lodge staff. 

Applicants must have a good understanding of security procedures and be able to respond effectively to incidents and emergencies.  Excellent interpersonal, management and organizational skills are key together with proficiency in IT.

Salary scale £32,635 - £36,031 pa plus other benefits.
