We currently have 2 exciting opportunities for a Class 2 Driver and a Relief Driver to join our Operations Team in Exeter. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the successful candidates will be responsible for ensuring daily product deliveries to customers throughout the South West and also will provide cover for the Transport function. The working pattern is Monday to Friday working an average of 48 hours per week.

HGV / LGV Driver Duties:

+ To cooperate on all matters concerned with Health, Safety, Training, Legislation and the Environment.
+ To deliver various palletised packed chemicals with some manual handling/tail lift drops plus low pressure discharge IBC tanks.
+ To be an active member of the Operations team, and provide cover when required particularly for Driver absence and holidays. 
+ To be compliant with all transportation legal requirements.
+ To recommend to the Operations Manager ways in which the company can improve profitability and operating effectiveness.
+ To achieve fleet utilization and availability targets.
+ To ensure that customer deliveries are planned, and deliveries are made efficiently and on time.
+ To minimize hired haulage spends.

Relief Driver Duties:

+ Cooperate on all matters concerned with Health, Safety, Training, Legislation and the Environment

+ Comply with all transportation legal requirements
+ Contribute ideas to improve profitability and operating effectiveness
+ Help achieve fleet utilization and availability targets
+ Ensure that customer deliveries are planned, and deliveries are made efficiently and on time.
+ Minimize hired haulage spends.
+ General Warehouse duties when required

We Are Looking For:

Successful applicants will have proven transport experience, as well as organisational and leadership skills. You will have the ability to influence, inspire and motivate others to reach high standards in performance. You will be customer focused and have excellent communication skills. You will have good numerical, analytical and computer skills. Additionally, you will have the ability to work under pressure. 

A Current ADR certificate would be beneficial (classes 1 & 7 not required) but NOT essential as full sponsorship can be provided to the right candidate. A full CPC certificate or nearing completion would be advantageous . Experience of SAP would also be beneficial.
