Due to growth, they now have an exciting opportunity for a Management Accounts Officer to join them where you will provide support to the Housing and Development Accountant.
Within the role you will assist in the development, appraisal and implementation of new business initiatives, system and processes to ensure an effective and robust financial control environment. Supporting the ongoing development and improvement of financial monitoring, you will also support in budget management activities to include budget monitoring, production of management accounts, and budget setting and forecasting for the new build schemes.
The successful candidate will also be responsible for developing and maintaining the housing fixed asset register whilst being involved with the new build financial appraisals. Assisting in producing monthly management accounts and meeting with budget managers, you will maintain and complete reconciliation of sales of shared ownership accounts.
They are looking for someone who is AAT qualified or equivalent. With proven experience in contributing to the production of annual budgets, monthly management accounts and final accounts for a complex organisation, you will have a thorough understanding of the principles of accounting as well as experience of working with complex financial systems.
With the ability to work effectively, flexibly and efficiently to achieve tight deadlines, you will be able to prepare, present and articulate accurate financial information. Good practical skills in Microsoft are needed, as is being able to think logically, critically and innovatively.
