THE ROLE: An opportunity has arisen within the Quality team for a Quality Inspector, at our Newtown facility. This is an excellent chance to be a key part of an energetic business with big ambitions and plans for growth.
Key Responsibilities of a Quality Inspector based in Newtown, Powys to include:-
- Reporting to the Quality Manager, you will be conducting quality inspection from goods inwards to PDI, recording and analysing quality defects and reporting/liaising with suppliers for a sound resolution and visiting suppliers with the aim to improve quality as well as looking to improve quality internally.
- Assisting the Quality Manager to maintain the ISO9001 standard and assist in helping to meet the business objectives.
- Maintaining the calibrations programme.
- Inspections (Goods Inwards to PDI)
- Investigate record and reporting quality issues via communication with suppliers and supplier visits.
- Managing SIP's (Standard Inspection Points)
- Implementing quality improvements internally
- Maintaining KPI's
- Assist in maintaining the ISO9001 standard
- Conducting internal audits
- Contribute towards achieving targets and team objectives
Key experience essential for the Quality Inspector based in Newtown, Powys role:
- Experience working within a quality department
- Knowledge of SAP would be advantageous including QSMART and eSMP
- Knowledge of ISO9001 would be preferred
- Internal auditing experience preferential, training can be provided
- Experience of problem solving
- PC Skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Having experience in a manufacturing environment would be beneficial
- Hard working, Flexible and self-motivated candidate required.
- Effective communication is prerequisite - at all levels, both internally and externally.
- Full driving licence
