Temporary Co-production Development Worker (until 31st March 2019)
£25,951 - £30,153 per annum
Countywide
Following a successful partnership funding application to the Aged Veterans Fund, we are looking for the right person to take forward an exciting new project to reach out to older armed forces veterans and their families and empower them to engage in activities and events aimed at improving their own quality of life and well-being.
You will work within Nottinghamshire County Council's exist Co-production Team and use the approaches already embedded for building social capital and using the ‘5 Ways to Well-being' to develop well-being among people with mental health needs to extend this work to the aged veteran population.
This will be a countywide project that will require you to develop and build this work as set out in the funding agreement.
You will show a good understanding of both a co-production approach and the issues that affect aged veterans. You will also have demonstrable experience of working on your own initiative and leading and delivering projects. You will be well-motivated and demonstrate the ability to connect well with people.
For an informal discussion about this role, call Richard Sample, Co-production Officer on 07795 224297.
Closing Date: 31st July 2017 Interviews: 7th September 2017.
Disabled applicants who meet the essential shortlisting requirements will be guaranteed an interview. A job share scheme is available for all full time posts: both permanent and temporary, unless otherwise stated. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and we expect all staff to share this commitment and undergo appropriate checks.
