Head Grounds Person
Bodmin, Cornwall

Our client enables families to say goodbye to their loved ones with dignity and respect. Based in 10 acres of stunning landscaped gardens, they have been serving their local communities since 1989. Now, they are looking for a Head Grounds Person to join their dedicated team in Bodmin.
If you are an experienced Grounds Person looking for a rewarding new role, this is a superb opportunity to play a key part in creating a tranquil and welcoming environment for those remembering their loved ones.
As the Head Grounds Person, you will ensure that our client’s beautiful grounds and buildings are maintained to the highest standards.
Working closely with the Memorial Team, you will:
- Carry out a range of gardening, cemetery, crematoria and horticultural tasks
- Construct, place and maintain memorials
- Be sensitive to the needs of bereaved individuals
- Ensure that requirements are scheduled in the Landscape Management Plan
- Provide cover for the Cremator Technician in their absence
To be considered, you will need previous experience as a grounds person. Strong communication skills and excellent attention to detail are also key.
Proactive and focused, as the Head Grounds Person, you will be able to work well, both individually and as part of a team. You’ll also be able to effectively delegate tasks and prioritise your workload.
Ideally, you will have a horticultural qualification, but this is not essential.
