Principal Teachers are working in partnership with a secondary school in the Ripon area. The school has a vacancy for a Teacher of Maths to commence a long term role from September. The position is available on a full time basis, teaching students in Years 9-11. The Head Teacher is seeking a committed individual, who can motivate students to achieve in Maths and provide a diverse and enriching curriculum. You will also have pastoral responsibilities for a Year 10 Form.

This Ofsted graded 'Good' Secondary School is based in an easily accessible area of Ripon. The successful applicant will become part of a thriving Maths Department and gain access to a wealth of resources. You must be able to use planning and assessment effectively to ensure you deliver a curriculum that is equal parts supportive and challenging. You will need to cater to the varying needs of diverse classes in KS3 and KS4 and demonstrate a passion for your subject to instil a love of learning.

The successful applicant will have:

-Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) recognisable in the UK
-Strong behaviour and classroom management skills
-Previous experience of teaching in the UK
-Knowledge of the current Secondary National Curriculum requirements for Maths
-Enthusiasm for the role and a creative flare
-The ability to form excellent working relationships with staff and pupils from a diverse range of backgrounds
-Experience of planning and assessment to a very high standard
-A commitment to improving attainment for all students
-A proven track record for raising attainment and achieving targets
