We're looking for a Senior Architect to join our client at their Basingstoke practice! Our client is an award-winning architectural studio who serve a range of building types across various sectors. They pride themselves on working closely with clients and communities to respond to their needs and meet client expectations and requirements. As the selected Senior Architect, you will be joining a talented and fast-growing team!

The main purpose of this role is to develop drawings, models, images and documentation for a range of medium-sized residential and educational projects. You will take responsibility with minimal supervision for medium-sized projects, and manage small projects, supervising and tutoring junior members where necessary. In this role you will manage the coordination of the internal design team and attend various meetings with clients, contractors, and authorities, so good communication skills are essential for this role.

Key responsibilities:

- Work with directors to agree budget, costs, and project criteria (deadlines, resources, etc.)
- Take part in business development activities and report potential opportunities
- Win, lead, and oversee multiple projects whilst providing guidance and assistance to junior colleagues where necessary
- Comply with company procedures and standards
- Ensure work complies with the ARB Code of Practice
- Continually develop professional skillset and knowledge and document this and an annual Personal Development Plan in accordance with RIBA requirements

Essential requirements:

- Residential and/or educational design experience
- Ability to formulate design decisions and present these for discussion
- Strong design knowledge of CAD systems
- Good time management skills to work calmly under pressure and meet deadlines
- Ability to assist in the management of architectural assistants
- Effective interpersonal skills to work as part of a team and liaise with clients and colleagues
- Sociable and confident individuals who works well in a fast-paced environment
