Our client is a leading not-for-profit organisation that builds, manages and maintains homes for people across the South West. They are now looking for a Refurbishment & Demolition Asbestos Surveyor to join their team, covering sites throughout Cornwall.

As the Refurbishment & Demolition Asbestos Surveyor, you will perform refurbishment and demolition and management surveys at sites throughout Cornwall. 

In this important role, you’ll carry out surveys and produce asbestos reports for internal and external customers in-line with HSG 264. 

Specifically, your role will involve: 

- Carrying out asbestos sampling 
- Consulting with residents regarding survey work 
- Ensuring that any risks are identified and effectively managed 
- Assisting with the preparation of statistics, reports and information 
- Attending emergency asbestos and sampling requests, both during and outside working hours 

To be considered, you will need: 

- Previous experience of undertaking refurbishment and demolition and management surveys 
- Experience of performing property surveys, working within an RSL, local or public authority or private practice 
- A BOHS P402 qualification 
- A full, valid driving licence 

As the Refurbishment & Demolition Asbestos Surveyor, you’ll have excellent planning, time-management and prioritisation abilities. Proactive and diligent, you will also have strong communication and team-working skills. 

Ideally, you will have a full understanding of the Decent Homes Standard programme, as well as the Housing Health & Safety Rating System.
