Woburn Estate has a unique opportunity available for a Park Ranger / Vermin & Pest Controller to join the team based in Woburn Park. The role is a full time, permanent position offering a competitive salary.
Our Security team is looking to recruit a Park Ranger / Vermin & Pest Controller to:
- Assist with security within Woburn Park by maintaining a visible presence and continuous patrolling.
- To proactively control all vermin / pests across the wider Estate.
We anticipate the Park Ranger / Vermin & Pest Controller role will be split 50 / 50 across the two areas.
As a Park Ranger you will make sure visitors keep to the public way-marked routes, monitor the physical security of the park and report defects, patrol the park roads during the day and ensure the Park is suitably prepared and opened each day. As a Pest Controller you will identify sources of vermin / pest infestation and take the appropriate action.
It is essential that you hold an NVQ Level 2 in Pest Management or have previous experience and hold a valid fire arms certificate. You will also need a background in either parks maintenance, wild life management or park security.
This is a full time role which will include working weekends and Bank Holidays on a rota system. You must have a clean driving license and the ability to deal with the general public on a wide range of issues in a diplomatic manner.
