(Permanent – 37.5 hours per week - Mon to Sat)

Based: Corsham, Wilstshire

Salary circa £27,000 per annum depending on experience

Due to continued success and growth our client is recruiting a Patient Services Supervisor within their homecare patient support team. Providing clinical services to patients out of hospital this office-based team is the first contact patients have with the company, so the smooth running and professionalism of the team is crucial to ensure excellent ongoing patient care. Clinical homecare is a growing market area offering more choice and greater convenience to patients whilst delivering efficiencies to the NHS.

Candidates must have demonstrable customer services experience ideally within a healthcare setting. The successful candidate will have a caring approach when dealing with patients and will possess the necessary skills and capabilities to liaise directly with customers either by telephone or in person. Managing the day to day of the busy patient services operation they will demonstrate excellent attention to detail, a flexible working approach and a positive outlook. Previous administration supervisory or management experience is essential for this post ideally within a hospital or caring environment.

Duties and Responsibilities to include

  • Direct line management responsibility for Patient Service Advisors ensuring;
    • Competency to perform tasks allocated to them.
    • Ability to navigate the company’s Patient Management System in order to manage patients and ensure records of activity a accurately updated.
    • Internal training for new and existing services and maintenance of accurate training records.
    • Ongoing develop and implementation of departmental policies and procedures.
    • Monitoring of the productivity and efficiency of the team.
    • Adherence of Patient Service Advisors to relevant legislation including the Data Protection Act 1998.
  • Active participation in the management of patients receiving homecare including but not limited to:
    • Contacting patients by telephone or email to arrange deliveries.
    • Scheduling deliveries to patients via 3rd party subcontracted logistics.
    • Maintaining accurate electronic records of calls to and received from patients within the company Patient Management System.
    • Maintaining documentation including patient registration forms and prescriptions.
