So, what will the role of Customer Service / Hearing Care Advisor entail?

As part of the company’s Professionalised Care for Customers, your contribution in supporting the Audiologist in store is essential to growing the business and reputation in Gloucester. You’ll take control of managing the store diary and be an ambassador for the company’s brand and values, communicating effectively with clients both in person and over the phone. Your duties will include, although not be limited to:

  • Contacting existing clients to recall for regular check-ups and reassessments
  • Welcoming clients to the store and providing support for their appointments
  • Keeping accurate records and processing orders for new and repaired hearing aids
  • Promoting sundry items / batteries
  • Keeping accurate petty cash and banking accounts
  • Ensuring store point of sale material is in line with current campaigns
  • Maintaining the stock levels of leaflets and sundries
  • Ensuring the branch standards are kept at a high level

What will I need to be considered for this Customer Service / Hearing Care Advisor vacancy?

  • Previous experience working within a customer service environment
  • Superb communication skills and willingness to help customers that may potentially have hearing difficulties
  • A desire to offer assistance at all times and an empathetic outlook
  • Ability to be discreet and show the utmost respect for the privacy of customers
  • IT literacy with knowledge of packages such as Microsoft Word and Outlook
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills
  • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision

You will be supported with comprehensive training and there will opportunities to develop professionally within the company, and take on new challenges if desired.

Salary: £14,700 pro rata plus monthly incentive bonus.

Enhanced Benefits: Boots discount card, pension scheme, life assurance cover after completion of probationary period, childcare voucher scheme, staff uniform, and long service awards. Annual leave entitlement starting at 20 days plus bank holidays pro rata, rising with length of service increments to a maximum of 30 days plus bank holidays pro rata.

Contract Type: There are two positions available for this role:

Permanent: 22.5 hours per week, working Wednesday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.

12 month fixed term contract: 15 hours per week, working Monday and Tuesday, 9am to 5pm.  

Location: Gloucester (Gloucestershire)
