Lead Practitioner

Salary: £16,360 - £16,867 per annum

Hours: 37 per week, 52 weeks per year (worked over 4 days)

Our clients Nursery provides all day provision from 2 months to 4 years from its dedicated Nursery centre on the campus grounds. The Lead Practitioner plays a key role in demonstrating and delivering outstanding quality care within the EYFS framework, whilst inspiring other room staff to follow. The successful candidate will take specific leadership responsibility for aspects of the EYFS including English and Maths, Pupil Premium, LAC or SEN.

The successful candidate will be dynamic with great interpersonal skills and an ability to positively influence and motivate others. They will also support the development of future practitioners by supporting work placement students. The post holder will have other responsibilities as part of the nursery leadership and management team and be prepared to support any of the rooms in the facility.

The nursery is on a journey to Outstanding and is looking to appoint the very best of practitioners wanting a challenging and varied role and to be part of an exciting period in the Nursery. You must have Level 2 English and Maths (GCSE A* - C), or equivalent or be willing to obtain them. You must also have a recognised Early Years qualification at Level 3 or above and there is an expectation that you are willing to obtain higher level qualifications.
