Trainee/ Internal Sales Engineer / Applications Engineer / Quotations Engineer

The role

The main purpose of the role will be to handle customer enquiries, size and select appropriate products and prepare quotations, then to follow up and promote the full range of products helping the company to achieve sales budgets. This is a reactive role with no new business development or sales cold calling, you will be required to:

• Produce and follow up quotations for new and existing clients
• Manage and interpret the customer requirements, understand their needs and advise on product selection
• Respond to incoming enquiries and answer the telephone
• Provide monthly reports to management
• Work with the CRM system ensuring up to date contact list, key activities, opportunities and reports as necessary are kept on the system
• Liaise and attend meetings with other company functions necessary to perform these duties
• Ensure Company procedures are always followed

Candidate background

The company are flexible and willing to consider candidates with diverse backgrounds, ideally you will have a minimum of 4 G.C.S.E’s including Maths and English, be IT literate, very personable and an excellent communicator. Some experience in sales would be useful but is not essential.
