About the Role

The role of Technical Project Manager is critical in planning and delivering the key activities of the business.

Initiating and owning end to end project deliverables from the technology programme plan, you will combine traditional waterfall based planning techniques with agile based task management and approaches and coordinate the production of design documents and implementation plans across multiple workstreams. Engaging with stakeholders across the business to ensure detailed requirements are captured, you will plan in detail and secure the resources required to underpin the projects on the technology programme plan and set clear milestones, goals and objectives for the team working on each project.

About You

This role demands an individual who has a proven track record of consistent on-time, on-quality technical delivery and who has the drive to deliver within a fast-paced agile environment. With a keen eye for detail, giving you the ability to spot and address potential problems before they become issues, you will be able to successfully deliver new business systems within a transformation programme and have experience of delivering significant business and technology change.

Being able to converse freely in detail to clients and the internal stakeholders would be beneficial as is the ability to mediate between the respective parties to ensure the transition programme timescales are maintained to minimal business impact. You’ll need to have good documentation and planning skills and Prince2 or another demonstrable project management qualification.

With a flexible approach to project delivery and a high level of self-organisation, you will have a proven ability to take and influence technical decisions and have a strong sense of accountability. You will understand the impact technology change and migration have on the customer experience and produce solutions that are highly secure, scalable and resilient.
